BY ABDISADIK AIDRUS Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, known as plain ol' “Bernie” among his backers, is known to create political sensations. The “Democratic Socialist” who has often packed meeting halls with nearly 400,000 people is on a mission to be the next Commander in Chief. He is not alone in that thought. The senator seems to have young voters secured in his back pocket because he is crushing it as new polls show at Apollo. Yep, you read that right. Over the last week, I have administered a survey that determined that Apollo students favor Bernie Sanders as their choice for the Democratic nomination. The survey polled 217 students randomly within the school. Sanders won 58% of the vote leaving Hillary Clinton behind who has only 24% Of the vote while the rest of the students who accounted for 18% said they, sadly, didn’t know anything about either of the candidates. As you have noticed above, the Sanders campaign is doing a pretty good job among young voters. I guess the Bernie yearning is in effect.
