Jason Corriveau, a Royalton man, was hurt after the semi he was driving overturned on Monday, March 16th. The incident happened just after 1:00 PM on highway 25 near 260th Avenue in Morrison County (north of the St. Cloud area). The semi and trailer ran off the road, but the injuries were non-life threatening. The semitrailer was totally destroyed. BY KENDRA STEPHANIE
What's one thing millions of people drink every day, some people can't function without, and keeps teenagers from bobbing their heads during a lecture in class? You've probably guessed it already and yes, it’s coffee. Starbucks is usually one thing that is towards the top of peoples’ “To do” lists for the morning or any time of day. Starbucks sells on average about 4 million drinks in a day (About.com). Starbucks dates back to 1971, where the first Starbucks opened in Seattle, Washington. “The store initially sold coffee beans and coffee making equipment rather than the famous drinks they have today” (Coffee.org). BY NICK FERGUSON INTERVIEWS BY BERNADETTE ZOM & SHAWNAY LOCKETT ON an early March morning, Apollo faculty learned that Apollo principal Charles Eisenreich would be leaving Apollo High School in July to lead the helm at St. Cloud Technical High School. As faculty dispersed to finish last-minute prepping and grading, it was unknown who would arrive at Apollo to serve as the new principal. Hours later, the St. Cloud Times and the Apollo faculty were informed of who would become our new principal. Adam Holm, current interim principal at Tech High School, will take over at Apollo this summer and begin his new position. This principal swap will lead to new and engaging opportunities for both men. While students and faculty will be losing Mr. Eisenreich, we know he will serve Tech High School well. The Paper staff worked together to interview a dozen Apollo students ranging from 9th to 12th grade to learn about their perspective of the swap. Newspaper staff Bernadette Zom (11) and Shawnay Lockett (9) interviewed students to ask them three questions about this principal swap: |
