BY KENNIDY RIVET Oceans of color. A Storm "wreck." Twerking. Read more to hear about the Apollo High School Homecoming 2015!!! Homecoming week was a lot of fun with Pajama Day and Hawaiian Day, but I have to say Spirit Day was the best. Everyone was so colorful and full of red, white, and blue! People were wearing face paint and tutus.
The game was on October 2nd, 2015, at 7:30 pm and there were way too many people there to even count. Green and gold, blue and red; it was an ocean of color! The score was 6-30. The Sauk Rapids Storm wrecked us. When we were playing, one of our players got hurt and was down for about a minute or two. The Astronettes did an amazing job during their performance, from the splits to twerking. You can tell that they worked very hard. As for the pep band, everyone loved how they played more modern songs instead of songs from the 50’s. I would give them more than five stars. After the game ended, the dance began. The dance was held in the gym. Next year they should make a bigger area for people to dance because we were all globbed together. There was about 250-350 people who were either in the gym dancing or in the commons. It was a lot of fun and very upbeat! You could tell that when "Whip/Nae Nae" came on that it was everyone's favorite song, including mine. The other students said that the dance was very fun but also annoying. Annoying? you ask…. Yes, it was annoying because there was a lot of grinding going on and some people were acting like over the top crazy people. Even after all the craziness, I will definitely go every year though!
