BY NICK FERGUSON What do face paint, golf clubs, lollipop trees, and middle schoolers have in common? Click to find out! Face paint, golf clubs, lollipop trees, and middle schoolers all have one thing in common: they were at the annual Link Crew Pre-Homecoming Carnival hosted by AHS Link Crew! This annual carnival ran from 5:30 - 6:30 PM on Friday, October 2nd. Students of all ages K-9th walked down the paved path on the way to the game, and were greeted by Link Crew members who ushered them into the carnival. Inside, there was loud music, face painting, build-a-sign stations, and carnival games with plenty of candy to give away as prizes. After a few minutes, attendance soared to about 150 - 200 people! The Link Crew members who assisted in running the event did a wonderful job welcoming students into the event and encouraging them to play the many games available. As a Link Crew advisor, it was fantastic to witness so many students from the North side schools come together to show support for the Apollo Football team. I know that the energy created during the carnival carried over into the bleachers as students cheered their hearts out for their favorite team. Expect next year's carnival to be bigger and better!
