Assistant coach Enoch Dix has been named the head boys basketball coach at St. Cloud Apollo High School. Dix replaces Dean Kesler, who last month announced he was stepping down after 22 seasons on the job.
According to sc times, Dix has played college basketball at St. Cloud State from 1997-99 where he averaged 20 points per game as a senior. He has been an assistant under Kesler for a decade. In a news release by SCtimes Apollo activities director Dave Langerud said, “We’ve hired the best basketball coach we could for our kids he has experience at all levels and knows our kids and the expectations of excellence we have at Apollo. He has a great ability to communicate, and understands our kids and families. He’s a perfect fit for what we are trying to accomplish here.” Best wishes to our new/former coach. Lets hope for another great season from our ever ambitious players. Congratulation again coach Enoch.
